Success is not a mystery, but rather the outcome of meticulous preparation, hard work, and learning from mistakes. Colin Powell’s quote emphasizes the importance of comprehensive growth in achieving success. At PPPK Petra, students are encouraged to develop not only academically but also physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. To inspire students to become well-rounded individuals, Petra Acitya Christian Junior High School’s teachers and staff prioritize their own personal growth.

Petra Acitya recently organized an event called “ACITYA BISA!” which translates to “BIncang SAntai” or casual conversation, in preparation for the upcoming academic year. The theme of the event was “Wholeness,” and it aimed to encourage teachers and staff to become complete individuals in spirit. During the event, the faculty engaged in evaluations, reflections, training, and meetings to foster a holistic mindset.

The event featured multiple sessions, including a motivational talk by Pdt Yoses Rezon Suwignyo from GKI Sidoarjo, who urged teachers and staff to find value in every circumstance. Anne Margaretha W, S.Si-Teol from GKI Pondok Tjandra Indah shared her expertise as a counselor, providing insights on communication skills. Lastly, Pdt. Sandi Nugroho inspired teachers and staff to integrate their Christian values into their teaching materials and daily activities.

In addition to the sessions, the faculty participated in small group discussions to apply the shared materials in their day-to-day lives. The event concluded with team-building activities, leaving the faculty invigorated and ready to commence the new academic year. At Petra Acitya, success is achieved through comprehensive growth, which is cultivated by a community of well-rounded individuals.
