Acitya Quest Fest is an annual open house event by Petra Acitya Christian Junior High School. Acitya means “knowledge”, while Quest means “search for something”, and Fest means “a fun gathering”. In short, Acitya Quest Fest aims to invite everyone to search for knowledge in a fun way.

This year’s event was special because it was offline in Petra Acitya Christian Junior High School. On June 15 and 16, many elementary students from Surabaya dan Sidoarjo came to the school and had fun with the Acityans. They participated in competitions, school tours, bazaars, and fun games. There were three competitions in Acitya Quest Fest. The first was the Science Challenge, where the elementary students created a simple construction from the materials which were provided by the committees. The second was the Literacy Challenge. In the competition, the participants had to answer some English literacy questions on Quizizz. The last was the Junior Inventor Challenge. The participants had to create a simple functional machine from recycled materials which were provided by the Creator.

This year’s theme was The Greatest Acityaland. Inspired by the Greatest Showman movie, the atmosphere of the school was dramatically changed into a circus. Red and white flags could be found everywhere. The competition participants were called “the Seekers”, while the committees were called “the Creators”. The event was opened with the grade 8 dance team, choir team, and grade 8 theatre team. They performed The Greatest Show as the main song of the event. Not only an opening performance in the Multipurpose room but there was also a carnival-themed event on the third floor. Grade 7 students presented five fun game stands and parents opened some bazaar stands. Fun art performances were also available in that area.

On the last day, there were final rounds of all competitions. Natalia Kristanti Wibisono from SDN Pabean 1 was chosen as the best participant. The winner of the Junior Inventor Challenge was Justin Roland Vincentius Hartono from Petra 7 Christian Elementary School. Key Akbar, Risky Haickal, Raihan, and Zafy from SDN Pabean 1 got the Creative Award.
